It is Wednesday, and here we are.

A breath for Wednesday. A breath for taking my time.

Ta-da!

Made stew. Made a website for Cecilia's List that has a proper domain name and stuff like that. Found out one deadline I thought I missed is actually in December. Took some craft materials/clutter to friends. Warmed a house. Sang in Southwark Cathedral. Made cake. Made a press release for Cecilia's List, and sent it off, and one small corner of relevant press picked up on it and wanted more information. Made, maybe, a new friend; certainly chatted productively with someone working on a related project (but we won't be stepping on each other's toes).

The Hard

The St Cecilia commission -- the one for the chapel choir, due "the first week of November" ie ASAP -- is like pulling teeth. Well, a bit. It's going more slowly than I'd like and there is a lot of staring at the ceiling going on. A breath for it takes as long as it takes. A breath for keeping going even if it's eight bars at a time, one bar at a time, one note at a time.

As usual, lots of other deadlines floating around, most of which I will need to let go of, and the others of which are Rather Important.

It's now cold enough outside that I'm noticing how deficient is the glazing and insulation in this house.

The Good

I think I have a good temporary secondary glazing solution that won't wreck the window frames. Because of the way the windows are constructed, if that doesn't work there is an option to add more, which would be triple glazing.

The slow cooker is coming into its own.

Some of the deadlines are meet-able?

I'm not actually stuck with the St Cecilia commission, it's just very slow.

I've had some ideas about how to approach another piece.

I learned a thing pertinent to my own self-care.

Quests

St Cecilia commission, LGQ admin, Patreon admin, personal admin, Cecilia's List admin, laundry, re-purple hair, Tavener study day in Winchester, meeting about a thing, pack for Aberdeen, go to Aberdeen.

The PLN

Alternate laundry and various kinds of admin with St Cecilia commission, since frequent breaks seem to help when things are going slowly for me. Make and eat stew. Don't try to do anything else when I'm going to and from Winchester in one day on Friday. A breath for not making things more complicated than they need to be.

Install temporary secondary glazing, with help from beloved, on Thursday night, if we have energy and materials. If not, wait until back from Aberdeen.

In Aberdeen: Rest. Do "just got to Aberdeen" routine. Eat macaroni pies.

How are you?

What have you done? What are your quests? What is hard in your life? What is good? What is your PLN (or plan)? Which is your favourite garment to wear in cold weather, and why?
