I had a bit of an epiphany today about speaking Welsh, which led to a post in Welsh and hopefully some reading in Welsh. I met with BIL on Sunday, and spent 2.5 hours speaking fairly fluent Welsh with some help from Aled. Odd bits were in English, because explaining what my work is, is currently beyond me, but I'll get there. The realisation was that I CAN speak acceptable Welsh and follow conversations, and I can get Huw to help me practice now because I can converse about some fairly complicated things - I'm starting to follow council meetings in Welsh better for example. I just needed confidence in myself. Once the Welsh has bedded in, the PLN is to get some French practice as theoretically I should have the same level (A level) in both languages.
The other thing I need to PLN about is doing Grade VIII piano - I must find a teacher soon, probably once I know I have a permanent job, or Huw lands a job.
Finally my quest! The eternal quest of a clean and tidy house, when living with a dyspraxic and untidy goat :)
